Måna Care, founded in 2023, is an AgeTech-focused company developing an AI enabled Digital Care Assistive platform to reduce social isolation, extend aging in place care, and help the elderly and cognitively challenged individuals navigate their daily activities with dignity.

The Challenge

Måna Care, founded with the goal of promoting digital inclusion and improving care for elderly and cognitively challenged individuals, faced a critical hurdle in delivering dependable, around-the-clock in-home digital care. Their custom 14-inch client tablets and caregiver mobile app required seamless, secure connectivity to operate as intended.

Devices needed to provision out-of-the-box, by automatically connecting to the best available cellular network, then be configured and connected to a local Wi-Fi network via the Måna mobile app as its primary connection.

Once connected to Wi-Fi, the Måna tablet could automatically fail over to cellular services if Wi-Fi dropped during a power outage of the client moved beyond it Wi-Fi range while on-the-go. This unique capability would ensure constant connectivity and communication with loved ones to ensure they are safe and secure.
